One of the main international airports of Germany and also the 9th busiest airport in the world, the international airport of Frankfurt, sees annually over 52 million air passengers. It is centrally located in the European continent and is only 3 hour flight far from most of the European cities. The distance of Frankfurt from Chicago in USA is 9 hours and from Mumbai International airport it is 11 hours.
Terminals and Services at Frankfurt Airport
The airport operates all its flight from two terminals namely Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The third terminal is under construction. There are many levels in the terminals and concourses are built to take passengers from one terminal to other. The Frankfurt Airport is located 12 km southwest of the main city of Frankfurt. There are railway stations and public buses as well as taxis which can be accessed from the airport.
The airport has many other services for the passengers. Some of them includes restaurants and coffee shops where both air travelers and non travelers can enjoy meals, light snacks and beverages. There is a dedicated shopping area too at the Frankfurt International Airport which provides duty free shopping experience to the travelers.
